FAQ

Practical answers,
without the runaround.

What is Sanctuary?

Sanctuary lets you create custom private address aliases called Doors for the parts of life where you would rather not share your home address.

How does Sanctuary work?

Create and share a Door instead of your home address. Give each Door its own purpose, sharing rules, and availability.

When would I use Sanctuary?

For shopping, gifts, work, returns, dating, and other moments when a home-address boundary matters.

Which Sanctuary delivery features are currently available?

You can create and manage private Door aliases, sharing links, rules, and Knocks today. Package receiving and forwarding are not currently available for customer use.

Can I have more than one Door?

Yes. You can create Doors for the different parts of your life.

Does every Door need a different physical address?

No. Doors are custom address aliases. They do not require you to have multiple homes.

Is Sanctuary a P.O. Box?

No. A Sanctuary Door is a custom private address alias, not a traditional post-office box.

Can I track deliveries?

Package tracking is not currently available for customer use.

What is a Knock?

A Knock is a private request from someone who wants to send something through your Door. You can approve it, hold it, or say no.

Can I pause or retire a Door?

Yes. You can control when a Door is active and retire it when it no longer fits your life.

What about Mail & Documents?

A Door does not replace a residential address where identity, legal, or government rules require one.
